On Saturday 5th September 2015 we held our fourth specialist cycling section.  Here are the bikes and frames that were offered for sale.

    Includes bottom bracket and front dérailleur.

    The odd scratch here and there but not dented

  7. Peugeot “Aspin” Racing Cycle.
    Owned from New.
    Model Aspin 12-Speed
    Frame – 60cms (23 1\2″)
    Frame Material Peugeot HLE tubing, lugless, fastback stays.
    Wheels – Rigida AL 1320 Alloy rims, Maillard alloy S/F hubs stainless spokes.
    Gears – Huret Eco.
    Brakes – Weinmann 500 alloy side pull, drilled levers.
    Saddle – Mondialita racing back
    Colour – RT (Tulip Red) with Peugeot Pro Transfers

  8. Kona Fire Mountain MTB
    16.5inch Alloy frame, 27 gears, 26inch wheels with Shimano SPD pedals and adjustable front shocks. Front/rear discs. Saddle pouch included. Less than 2 years and never been off road.
    Excellent overall condition.

  9. Trek 8000 Mountain Bike.
    27 gears, Shimano SPD pedals, 19.5inch Alloy frame, 26inch wheels with Schwalbe puncture resistant tyres. Front/rear discs, adjustable front Rock Shox. Saddle pouch included.
    Very good condition all over.

  10. Armstrong ‘Moth’ 21″ 531 frame and forks. Appears structurally sound but needs a lot of TLC to revive it

  11. JA Grose Mens Tandem partially restored. 20″ frame has been sandblasted and stove painted some time ago. It is a lightweight frame. The owner could single handed load it into the back of their estate car.

    Wheels rebuilt by specialist wheel builder – 26″ 1 3/8 Samir Saminox rims with stainless spokes. (They are just dirty, a bit of polish reveals a shiny surface). Drum brake hubs, the rear is marked Sturmey Archer. New tyres were fitted at the time of the restoration but it was hardly used.

    3 speed rear derailleur and two chain rings on the stokers drive side. All the bearings:bottom brackets, hubs, pedals and steering are smooth but some need tightening up.

    JA Grose was established in 1876 in London. Date of this frame not known but being researched. It is marked R10 on the seat tube.

  12. Dawes Giro 300 road bike with 7005-TI aluminium frame – 3 x 8 gears with Shimano Sora Flightdeck shifters, Tektro brakes, 700C wheels with 23mm tyres. In good working order, no dents, a few scratches and chips. Built circa 2005.

    • Shimano gear train – triple chainset 52-42-30 and long cage rear derailleur on 8 sprocket cassette

    • Shimano Sora Flight deck shifters brake lever flick you on to larger sprockets and chainwheels, thumb levers take you down to smaller ones. These levers will connect to a Shimano Flightdeck cycle computer which is operated from the dimples on the brake hoods.

  13. Raleigh Roadster Prima girl’s bicycle with alloy rack. 24″ wheels, 5 gears, brake blocks & gear teeth have virtually no wear. Functional and ready to ride. Paintwork has some surface rust.

  14. Raleigh Gemini 18 speed Ladies Bike with 531 19″ frame. A hand built mountain bike light weight. Would be called a hybrid today. 700C wheels with Weimann alloy rims and Shimano Exage hubs. Cantilever Dia Compe brakes, Laprade alloy seat post.

  15. Trek 7200 front suspension hybrid bike.
    Aluminium frame, Shimano brakes and gears, Bontrager tyres.
    Overhauled, fitted with new bottom bracket and head set.
    Lubricated and set up. Suspension preload adjustment has seized.
    56cm / 22″ traditional frame size equivalent. 17″ centre of bottom bracket to top of seat tube or 56cm / 22″.
    Ready to ride.
