Review of the Auction at Badger Farm 8th June 2013

New Room Layout at Badger FarmThe New Room Layout at Badger Farm

Another bumper auction.  Nearly 300 lots were sold.

We had a surprise with lot 110, a collection drawing instruments and a beret sold for £400. The photo below does not reveal the WWII Paratrooper’s cap badge on the other side of the Red Beret.

Secondly we changed the room layout switching from landscape to portrait i.e the auctioneer was at the far end of the hall, near the tea hatch, looking down the length of the hall.  It makes it easier for the auctioneer to see the bidders.  What did you think of the new layout?  The tea ladies said they could see more of the action.

Our next auction is at Itchen Abbas Village Hall on the 7th September.   Have a good summer and enjoy your holidays.  The Whales are going to China.  I wonder if they will bring anything back to sell.  We look forward to seeing you again.
