Online Sales

As well as our monthly in-person auction we’re pleased to offer online sales via global marketplaces. We use these to for items which would benefit from a wider audience and a more hands-on selling approach.

How does it work? It’s very easy…

  1. Get in touch and tell use what items you have. You can arrange a visit or send us photos. See our Valuations page for more details.
  2. We research the items and advise of the best sales channel for each one.
  3. For online sales we store, photograph, list and manage the sale getting you the best price possible. You can track the status of every item using our online tools.
  4. We take a share of the profits (20-30% depending on the value) and pay you as soon as the transaction is finalised.

You can get started by arranging a Valuation here:

Please see our FAQ below for more details:

What if my item doesn’t sell?

If an item doesn’t sell within the agreed timeframe, we’ll discuss options with you — relist at a lower price, sell it at our auction, or return to you. We never dispose of your items without your agreement.

Do you provide collection from my home?

We’re based near Winchester in the UK. We can arrange home visits to view and collect items. Get in touch with us to find out more details.

How do I get paid?

Sales are paid within an agreed timeframe after the sale completes and any returns period has passed. Payment is by bank transfer.

What items do you NOT accept?

Except in rare cases, we don’t accept clothing, items in poor condition, large items such as white goods and furniture, anything worth under £20 or anything which is broken or requires specialist disposal. If you’re unsure, just ask – we’re happy to advise.

Which online platforms do you use?

We’ve been selling on ebay for over 20 years and have a 5 star rating. We may use other platforms such as Facebook Marketplace and AuctionNet where it makes sense.

What if an item is returned by the buyer?

In the rare event of a return, we’ll relist the item or discuss alternative options with you. Our commission is only taken on completed sales where payment has cleared.

How does your commission work?

Our commission is tiered: 30% on the first £250 of net profit, and 20% on anything above that. So for an item that achieves £500 net profit, you’d pay 30% × £250 (£75) plus 20% × £250 (£50) — a total commission of £125.

Net profit means the sale price after eBay fees and postage costs have been deducted — so you’re not paying commission on money that went to eBay or the courier. The commission covers our time: research, photography, listing, buyer communications, packing, and postage management.
