Buyers at our December 2015 auction
The last Auctions in a Day sale of the year this Saturday in Itchen Abbas Village Hall is expected to generate a huge amount of interest, a large number of fascinating Treasures will be on sale and others promised.

Definitely on sale will be a rare piece of the R38 Airship that broke up and fell into the River Humber in 1921. Airship memorabilia is always collectable and bidding is expected to go over £100. Two ‘Imperial Fire Marks from 1840 and 1880 . Before the National Fire Brigade was established, private Fire Brigades offered cover. Their plaques were placed on buildings so in the event of a fire they would be saved by their insurance with the private Fire Brigade.

Sporting fans will be keen to buy a hand written letter dated 1960 by England and F A Cup winning star for Blackpool Stanley Matthews. He apologised for not being able to accept an invitation, as he was still playing for Stoke (aged 45). There is also a thank you letter from Country Singer Billie Jo Spears.

Lego enthusiasts will love the two foot long model of Titanic and for Music Lovers a signed single by Keith Richards. For the Teddy Bear collector a rare pre-WW1 Polar Bear on cast wheels. Originally a nursery room toy for the well to do Edwardian child, this should hit close to it’s estimate of £80.

We also have two good quality albums. One with black and white family photos from the 1920s and the second a large collection of religious cards. Plus a military badges and others.

Other collectables have been promised including 1980’s Hornby Trains and lead soldiers and a recent Paul McCartney autograph.

Auction Report for 6th July 2019

The July auction was hot and humming as Claire, the Auction’s premier auctioneer, navigated the 350 lots without pausing for a break, or even a breath!

Under the hammer went a vast range of interesting and unique items which appealed to the many buyers who attended the Badger Farm Auction, preferring to be soothed by Claire’s sultry tones as opposed to being sizzled by the burning rays outside.
Under the hammer went jewellery and silver – the hallmarked boxes appealing to the silver collectors, the two jewelled mannequins were picked up by a discerning buyer for £76 appreciating the individuality of these pieces. Collectors of old toys were not disappointed as Corgi and Britains featured in the sale. The end of the auction went with a bang as a 5 piece drum kit was sold.

The next auction is to be held on 7th September at Otterbourne Hall- we can’t promise sunshine but we can promise another sale of unusual and irresistible items! Look forward to seeing you then.

Auction at Badger Farm Community Centre
Auction at Badger Farm Community Centre
Our first auction of 2018 took off on time. There were several signs of this being a good auction early on. Auctions were well established in the 1800s but Robertsons hadn’t started their long standing promotion. Ring below to see what it all means.

It was impressive start to the year with 415 lots. There was the usual blend of toys, jewellery, paintings, kitchenalia, furniture, garden items, musical instruments, football programmes, clocks, cameras, sculptures, medals, sewing machines, projectors, glass slides, china and the top items you can see below.

Our next auction will be at Otterbourne Village Hall on Saturday 3rd March. We look forward to seeing you there.
